In 2012, Wendy Davis was up for re-election to the Texas State Senate in a district covering Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Redistricting had made the already competitive seat more Republican.

We knew Wendy would be subjected to attacks, so we worked to tell her amazing life story in a way that would really resonate with voters – especially women – and insulate her from the barrage of negative attacks the Republicans threw her way. In the most expensive legislative race in the state, Wendy held on to win, capturing just over 51% of the vote.
